Aion AI Validated To Run On IBM Z & LinuxONE

New Aion AI Configuration: On-Premise Only

Opollo is excited to announce that Aion AI has been validated to run end-to-end on IBM Z and LinuxONE in an on-premise only configuration!

Opollo is now able to offer Aion AI to customers in the following configurations:

• On-premise only

• Hybrid cloud

• Cloud only

Opollo participated in IBM ZLPN which allows companies to validate their software solutions on IBM Z and LinuxONE. Having access to an on-premise IBM Z machine through IBM ZLPN, allowed us to revise Aion AI so that it can run completely on-premise. The new on-premise only configuration allows Aion AI customers the ability to keep all their data within their own network.

The following sections provide additional details about each of Aion AI’s configurations…

Aion AI On-Premise Only Configuration

The on-premise configuration of Aion AI ingests the data from the electronic health record system, processes the data, deidentifies sensitive patient data, stores the data, trains models, and inferences models within IBM Hyper Protect running on on-premise IBM Z machines and LinuxONE machines. The on-premise IBM Hyper Protect instances are secured using Hyper Protect Crypto Services cards inserted into the physical machine (see Aion AI On-Premise Only).

Aion AI Hybrid Cloud Configuration

The hybrid cloud configuration of Aion AI ingests data from the electronic health record system, processes the data, and deidentifies sensitive patient data within IBM Hyper Protect running on on-premise IBM Z machines. The on-premise IBM Hyper Protect instances are secured using Hyper Protect Crypto Services cards inserted into the IBM Z machine. The deidentified data is then sent to Amazon Web Services for additional processing, storage, model training, and model inferencing (see Aion AI Hybrid Cloud).

Aion AI Cloud Only Configuration

The cloud only configuration of Aion AI ingests data from the electronic health record system, processes the data, and deidentifies sensitive patient data within IBM Cloud Hyper Protect Virtual Servers For Virtual Private Cloud. The deidentified data is then sent to Amazon Web Services for additional processing, storage, model training, and model inferencing (see Aion AI Cloud Only).
